Babcock bolsters support to Ukraine
小蓝俱乐部 is strengthening its continued commitment to Ukraine鈥檚 military by establishing an in-country engineering facility that will deliver engineering support including repair and overhaul for Ukraine鈥檚 military vehicles.
In partnership with Ukraine Defence Industries (UDI), Ukraine鈥檚 state-owned defence holding company, Babcock will ensure that critical military assets are available when and where they are needed most. Work is underway to establish this new capability and to help ensure that we are able to deliver even more military assets to service, enhancing Ukraine鈥檚 defence capabilities.
We already provide the maintenance, repair and asset management for the majority of the British Army鈥檚 vehicles and equipment and have been delivering technical and engineering support to Ukraine鈥檚 military from the wider region since July 2023.
Babcock Chief Executive Officer, David Lockwood said: 鈥淕etting military equipment and assets back to Ukrainian armed forces in the most efficient way possible is why we are making this in-country investment in an armoured vehicle engineering facility. This will enable even faster turn-around times on repair and restoration of critical military assets to the front line鈥.
We established Babcock Ukraine in 2023 and are already supporting Ukrainian naval assets and training of the next generation of Ukrainian Air Force fighter jet pilots.
